Ages 2.5 to 6
Our Primary Program offers introductory ballet and tap classes for ages 2 through 6. We welcome girls and boys of any experience level to join us in our engaging young dancer classes.
While all classes in our Primary Program are open enrollment (no placement class necessary), our age ranges in this program are rather specific due to the immense amount of growth and developmental milestones that occur within this age range with regards to movement, communication, and more. We try to have dancers in the best class for them to excel and enjoy, keeping in mind both age and skill level.

Our young friends in Pre-Ballet A work on developmental movement and mastering basic foundational ballet skills, such as balancing, transferring weight, jumping, pointing our toes, and much more! This is an imaginative, full-filled class where dancers are introduced to the world of ballet and it's beauty. Our youngest dancers learn to begin executing the ballet basics and identifying them.
PreBallet B builds upon PreBallet A, while still being an introductory class. We work on developmental movement and mastering basic ballet skills, such as balancing, transferring weight, jumping, pointing our toes, and much more! This is an imaginative, full-filled class where dancers are introduced to the world of ballet and it's beauty. PreBallet B movement is geared developmentally towards older 3 year olds.
Dancers in Intro to Ballet work on ballet basics and begin factoring in proper posture, turnout, technique, and comprehension of ballet French terminology. This level begins following the basic order of a regular ballet class- basic ballet barre, basic center work, and basic "across the floor". Dancers are introduced to ballet in a fun and imaginative way, while building a strong foundation to work from!
Dancers taking Intro to Tap are introduced to basic rhythms, steps, and sequencing, all while making some noise! Tap classes are a fantastic addition to ballet classes- the rhythm and coordination learned in tap are a great way for dancers to improve quickly in all their dance endeavors. Intro to Tap is a fast-paced introductory class for 4 to 5 year olds.
In this fun introductory level, we continue building upon the ballet basics, also incorporating correct technique. Classes follow the format of a regular ballet class, beginning with a warm-up, ballet barre, center, and across the floor. Light stretching and strengthening is introduced. Dancers in Ballet 1A learn proper ballet in an age-appropriate, fun-loving, and enjoyable way.
