(Session B) Ballet 1B: WED 4:30

Ballet 1B is designed for 6-7 year old dancers, suitable for those with or without previous experience. Dancers learn foundational ballet techniques following a structured class format, which includes barre, center work, and across-the-floor exercises. Basic stretching and strength training are also introduced. The focus is on fundamentals, musicality, ballet etiquette, and growing a love for movement. While we maintain a professional learning environment, we design classes to be fun and engaging as dancers build their ballet foundations. As the last level before dancers are old enough to join our Academy classes, Ballet 1B serves as a bridge to more advanced training for those who wish to pursue it. Session A (Fall/Winter): Monday, January 27, 2025- Sunday, May 23, 2025. This class meets once a week, on Wednesdays from 4:30- 5:15 pm (45 min). Requirements: All Pre-Academy classes are open enrollment, meaning they do not require any prerequisites or approval outside of age requirements. Dancer must be of age for class as of February 10, 2025. Please note that we do not age up students. **Quick note for 6-year olds: dancers aged 6 have two level options within our programs. Ballet 1B (ages 6-7) is in our Pre-Academy, and is recommended for rising/attending first graders. Ballet 1A (ages 5-6) is in our Primary Program, and is recommended for rising/attending Kindergarteners. Drop off: Our classes are all drop-off classes- please read our policies to learn more about procedure and feel free to email us any questions! Tuition: Class tuition is based on the total number of instructional days in each session, and is prorated to account for the remaining weeks within a session. Recital: Our PreAcademy has two recitals per school-year: one towards the end of Session A, and the other towards the end of Session B. PreAcademy recitals are presented in conjunction with our Academy and Adult Program classes. Dancers in this class have the option to participate in our Session B recital! Performance fees are separate from tuition; registration for recital will be sent at the beginning of the dance session. The performance fee is $100, and covers a dancer's costume and participation. An automatic confirmation email is sent to you upon registration for this class. The email you use to register is what we will use for all confirmations and studio/class communications!
