PRIMARY BALLET I: *Previously called Ballet 1A- same class, new name!* – Length: 45 min. – Ages: 5- 6 Primary Ballet I introduces young dancers to the full structure of a classical ballet class while reinforcing fundamentals from earlier levels. This class begins to emphasize the building blocks of alignment and intentional placement, expanding vocabulary at the barre, in the center, and across the floor. Dancers explore weight transfers, begin preparatory turning concepts through spotting, and learn to connect movement with musicality. Introductory stretching and strengthening are incorporated in an age-appropriate way, supporting both safe technique and confidence in movement. With a balance of structure and encouragement, this level bridges the exploratory aspects of early childhood ballet and the more progressive training of Primary Ballet II, helping dancers develop grace, strength, and excitement for their next steps. SESSION B: Monday, February 2- Monday, June 1, 2026 TUITION: Class tuition is based on the number of instructional weeks per session. Enrollment after the session begins is prorated to reflect the remaining weeks. RECITAL: Session B culminates in our end-of-year recital, held towards the end of the session. All PreAcademy dancers have the option to perform! Performance fees are separate from tuition; registration and details are sent near the start of Session B.
