About

Ballet 1A is a beginning ballet class designed for 5-6 year old dancers both with and without some prior experience. Dancers in this class explore beginning ballet technique, learn fundamentals, and develop musicality in a structured and encouraging environment. We support each dancer on their unique ballet journeys to develop grace, strength, and confidence! Class follows a traditional ballet structure, with warm-up, barre fundamentals, introductory stretching and strengthening, center, and "across the floor". Full Year: Monday, September 9, 2024- Friday, May 23, 2025 This 45-min class meets once a week, on Sundays at 11:15 am. Age requirements: Dancer must be of age for class as of September 22, 2024. Please note that we do not age up students. **Quick note for 6-year olds: dancers aged 6 have two ballet level options within our programs. Ballet 1A (ages 5-6), in our Primary Program, is recommended for rising/attending kindergarteners and younger 6-year olds. Ballet 1B (ages 6-7), in our Pre-Academy, is recommended for rising/attending first graders and older 6-year olds. Drop off: Our classes are all drop-off classes- please read our policies to learn more about procedure and feel free to email us any questions! Tuition: Half of the total full-year tuition is due upon enrollment. The remainder of tuition is invoiced after registration, and due on December 1, 2024. Class tuition reflects the number of instructional days in a session. Recital: Our Primary Program has two recitals per school-year: one towards the end of Session A, and the second towards the end of Session B. Dancers in this class have the option to participate in both recitals! Performance fees are separate from tuition; registration for recital will be sent at the beginning of each dance semester (early September, and early February). The performance fee is $100 per recital, and covers a dancer's costume and participation. An automatic confirmation email is sent to you upon registration for this class. The email you use to register is what we will use for all confirmations and studio/class communications!
